My kitchen is killing me

I'm on a bit of a blog hiatus because I finally decided it was time to tackle the kitchen. I've been sort of putting it off, but last Friday it began. The caulk around the back splash looked terrible so that's where I started. Friday I re-caulked half of it. Monday I did the other half. Tuesday I went to Lowe's, got the paint and spent FOREVER doing the "cutting in" on only half. The paint had TONS of bubbles in it so I ended up returning it because paint isn't supposed to be that way. It actually is okay though because the color turned out to be totally wrong. I rarely have a color mis-hap so I was a little annoyed with myself. So today I returned the paint, went to a different Lowe's store in hopes for a better bubble situation, got a new color and got started re-painting what I painted yesterday. The bummer is that once I actually finish the entire room I have to do it AGAIN. It needs 2 coats! Now I know why I was hesitant to start. I just keep telling myself that it will be worth it. It's going to look fabulous. Hopefully it will be done before I have this baby. :) I'll post some great pics when I'm done.

Do it ALL while you can because after baby comes, it's SO much harder to get it done - for a while that is...until they get on a schedule and not eating all the time. For example: I was totally going to do this awesome vegetable garden last spring/summer. I even weeded the whole plot by myself when I was 9 months prego and planted seeds in little starter pots. I thought it would be no biggie to plant them after baby came. Long story short - Kami came a few weeks later, my garden became weeds again, the plants died, and no fresh veggies! Maybe this spring...maybe. You are inspiring me to DO MORE!!! Keep it up!

And now I'll have to come for dinner again so I can see the finish product. What about next month I do your brows, and invite myself over, again. Ha ha ha! Am I so rude? Yes. But that's why you love me. You never have to wonder what I'm thinking! I could even bring my stuff over and we could do a combined activity. Dinner and a Brow Wax.

Thanks for the encouragement girls. I need it!

Katie,
I wanted to see if you and Kristi(and whoever else lives in SLC) wanted to get together for lunch next week. Let me know what day works. Would love to see you before the baby comes!

Dude, I hate painting. Which is why we still have closet doors that need to be done. And, I did the cutting-in on our whole house, so I totally feel your pain.
