I'm PREGNANT!

It's true. Spencer and I are having a baby due on June 6, 2008! I just hit the 12 week mark and decided it's about time I start telling people. Right now we don't have plans to find out what it is. We like surprises. However, I am not committing either way so I still reserve the right to change my mind. I have an inkling that it is a boy, but we'll see.

So far this whole pregnant thing is NOT what I expected. I'm not sure what I expected, but it's been more difficult than I thought it would be. I'm hoping to hit the "good times" of the 2nd trimester soon. Everyone says those days are coming...here's to hoping. I'd love any advice from all you veterans.

The picture is from our "toast" on the day we found out. (It's only our favorite Blueberry drink from Trader Joe's. I brought 3 or 4 bottles out to UT with me when we moved.)

This picture is my belly at 8 weeks. I still need to take a 12 week shot. I decided on the bare belly because I just look chubby with my shirt down. At least in this one you can see my left over summer tan and the muscles that will soon disappear. I actually think I may be a little smaller now. I think I was really bloated early on. When I post the next picture you be the judge. Let's be honest though, I've never had the washboard abs of my dreams. The main belly difference that I am noticing is that my rolls that I used to be able to suck in have merged into one giant roll. And for the life of me I can't suck it in!

YEAH!!!!! I am so excited for you Katie! As far as advice goes, the only thing I can tell you is to eat small ammounts of very bland food throughout the day. Every pregnancy is different so if you are sick with this one, mabey you won't be with the second. Keep updating! I would love to hear how you(and baby) are doing!!

Hi Katie-
My name is Molly Bice (Jackson). Spencer will remember me from LA 1st ward. (I'm the one who petitioned for him to get new glasses...which I'm sure is what won your heart and look what it led to). I found your blog through Nicole Riding Bell's (a friend of mine from theatre at BYU). Small world! My hubby, Vic, and I live in Park City. Vic and Spencer were also pretty good friends. You guys should take a trip up to Park City to see us! Come see me as Peter Pan at the Egyptian Theatre! Congrats on the baby!!! Tell Spencer hello!! Here's our contact info:

Katie,
I am so excited for you! It does get better soon(for most)! You do hear the horror stories of women being sick for the whole 9 months (I can't imagine) but I'm sure you'll slowly start feeling better. Can't wait to get all the updates and pics of the belly. So fun!

About freakin time! I was dying to know when you would start telling people. PS, your tummy is hot and I fully expect you to wear tighter shirts as you get bigger to rejoice in that cute belly.

Congrats on the baby!!! My favorite sound Tannon ever made was the first time he giggled. Kids are the best.

P.S. I'm glad to see that the race across the bay made your HS top 10 list. It is one of my fondest memories as well.
