Christmas Eve
So I'm a little annoyed with Blogger right now. Why do they load all the pictures backwards?! So annoying. So you get the Christmas Eve thing in reverse order.
Every Christmas Eve right before bed we all pile onto my parent's giant sleigh bed and my dad reads The Night Before Christmas. Someone always remarks (complains) about someone else's stinky feet as we squish together. It's fun. As you can see Ryan was totally into it. He'd gone to bed long before, but woke up just in time and since it was Christmas Eve I decided to get him up for the story. I'm glad he was there and it was fun to see him with my mom and dad.
I had to include this one. It's the only picture I have of Ryan sad, because he rarely is. He had just woken up and I think was a little disoriented. Poor kid.
We do our big feast dinner on Christmas Eve. We each get one of those "popper" things at our place and then wear the crowns throughout the meal. It's silly, but its tradition. :)

I am the queen of the rolls in my family. I make the rolls at EVERY holiday meal and have for probably the last 10 years or so. This year's batch turned out especially well and actually remembered to take a picture. Yum. I wish I could eat one right now!
Classic Laurel. She's going to kill me but...I don't think she's ever opened her "popper" without make this face and the "eahh!" sound that goes with it. Love you La!
Doesn't my mom look beautiful. Can you believe she had a stroke last March?! We have all been so blessed by her remarkable recovery. Mom, you're amazing!

I love your family! And I totally know that face Laurel is making! Hysterical!
Beth says we need to get together to celebrate being 30 this year. Are you down? I sure am.
What a fun Christmas!!! And, the bow just means you will have cute girls!
Those "poppers" are called "crackers" and they are the tradition in Scotland. We have them every year! One year my Dad got the expensive kind and I got a silver mirror and earrings! It's nice to know we're not the only ones wearing paper crowns! =)
